Experiments by the authoritative American virology laboratory ARE Labs have confirmed that the purifying effect on viruses is good, with up to a 99.9% removal rate for the hard-to-kill MS2 virus. To understand the efficacy of the AIR6 Plus air purifier in decomposing the MS2 virus in one cubic meter sealed chamber, key points from the experimental report of AIR 6 Plus are summarized as follows.
AIR6 Plus has been experimentally proven to remove viruses by up to 99% quickly.
Experimental Method
The MS2 virus, in an aerosolized form (note 2), was sealed in a one cubic meter chamber, with the AiR6+ air purifier placed inside. The experiment observed the decrease in virus concentration, measured in net LOG reduction, achieved by the AIR6 Plus air purifier.
Note 2: ‘Aerosolization’ refers to generating airborne particles containing infectious viruses or bacteria.
Experimental Result
Three experiments were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the AIR6 Plus air purifier in decomposing the MS2 virus in the air. Within 60 minutes, the net LOG reduction in virus concentration was 2.14 +/- 0.33; within 120 minutes, it was 3.20 +/- 0.17. After calculating an average value from the three experiments, the results equate to the AIR6 Plus air purifier having a probability of eliminating the virus by up to 99.9333% +/- 0.025 within 120 minutes.
